This stylishly constructed building is located on a unique high plateau on Lake Zurich with a spectacular view. The park-like gardens with a large lawn area gained a new, calm sense of space thanks to the deliberate design elements. Picturesque and expressive Scots pines now convey stability and permanence. Soft waves of undulating grasses act as an unobtrusive privacy screen for the surrounding houses and give a clear view of the lake. The design is subject to nature here. The existing areas were skilfully divided into clear areas according to the family’s needs, while still maintaining the spaciousness and expanse, and restaging them. While the lake, the range of hills and the Alps seem close enough to touch in good weather, a spa garden with loungers, an inviting reading area under the wisteria-covered pergola and a dining area invite you to linger. In this manner, the garden is not demarcated as such, but rather is linked to the landscape. When the architecture succeeds in highlighting the benefits of nature and design, then the whole picture adds up. The beautiful result is a living space which is lived in and loved by the whole family.
