ENEA’S DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Enzo Enea believes in “integration rather than decoration.” Green spaces are not decoration; they form living spaces that should be designed in coordination and synthesis with the interiors and surrounding landscape. Enea then refers to this design concept of merging exterior and interior as ‘Outside In.’ The interior’s materials, surfaces, and hues respond to the exterior’s textures and colors, creating a smooth transition. The concept refers to Italian Renaissance villas, which connected the outdoors with the indoors by opening the living space to the garden as an integrated whole.
Inspired by this philosophy, Enea opened the first ‘Outside In’ concept store in the heart of Zurich in 2006. Complementing landscape architecture, Enea expanded its offering to interior design to serve clients with its own ‘Outside In’ concepts.
Enzo Enea and his team further demonstrated their creativity in interior design by collaborating with likeminded partners in the furniture industry at the Milano Design Week.
