Vector Informatik, the world’s leading manufacturer of embedded electronics in the automotive industry, has expanded its headquarters in Stuttgart. The expansion received the highest award for sustainable construction in Germany by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), and the design of the landscape was a significant component of the award’s criteria. This was the first time in the history of DGNB that the platinum and diamond awards have been bestowed. The thoughtfully-planned design of the site includes a unique parking area for the new employees’ offices. Deliberate coordination and planning were executed to ensure the exterior spaces complimented the building’s functions and that the overall design was of the highest quality in order to reflect the company’s vision and trademark.
